We’re getting a new year of fresh video content started here on JoBlo and Arrow in the Head, and what better way could there be to get the first week of the year rolling than with a video dedicated to a movie many of you probably just watched last month? The movie is the 1984 holiday horror comedy classic Gremlins (watch it HERE), and we’re digging into it with a new episode of Revisited. Check it out in the embed above!
Directed by Joe Dante from a screenplay written by Chris Columbus, Gremlins tells the following story: A gadget salesman looking for a special gift for his son finds one at a store in Chinatown. The shopkeeper is reluctant to sell him the `Mogwai’ but sells it to him with the warning to never expose him to bright light, water, or to feed him after midnight. All of this happens and the result is a gang of gremlins that decide to tear up the town on Christmas Eve.
The film stars Zach Galligan, Phoebe Cates, Hoyt Axton, Dick Miller, Judge Reinhold, and Corey Feldman.
The Gremlins episode of Revisited was Written, Narrated, and Edited by EJ Tangonan, Produced by Adam Walton and Chris Bumbray, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
Several series on the JoBlo Horror Originals YouTube channel have been released under the Revisited banner in the past. (Episodes of Best Horror Movie You Never Saw, The Black Sheep, Deconstructing, Horror Party Movies, Best Foreign Horror Movies, Playing with Fear, and Real Slashers have all been labeled Revisited on YouTube.) We recently got a new series simply titled Revisited started with an episode dedicated to Chopping Mall. Since then, the series has covered Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, Videodrome, Jacob’s Ladder, Re-Animator, House II: The Second Story, Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight, Poltergeist, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Fright Night, The Fog, The Craft, Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, Pet Sematary, Prom Night, Storm of the Century, and Kolchak: The Night Stalker.
