No matter what your opinion on the upcoming POINT BREAK remake is, you have to appreciate the lengths that director Ericson Core (INVINCIBLE) and his team went to in order to capture the extreme stunts featured in the film. You've got big-wave surfing, wingsuit flying, sheer-face snowboarding, free rock climbing, and high-speed motorcycling, all performed by a team of renowned extreme athletes who just have to be insane, because my idea of extreme sports is *insert video-game joke here*.
Warner Bros. has released several behind-the-scenes videos which document the filming of the stunt sequences, which show just how challenging these stunts were to capture on film. Sadly, the question as to whether someone will fire their gun up in the air and go "aahh" in the remake remains unanswered.
A synopsis for POINT BREAK:
A young FBI agent infiltrates an extraordinary team of extreme sports athletes he suspects of masterminding a string of unprecedented, sophisticated corporate heists. Deep undercover, and with his life in danger, he strives to prove these eco-activists are the architects of the mind-boggling crimes that are devastating the world’s financial markets.
You can find your breaking point once POINT BREAK hits theaters on December 25, 2015.
