From Gotham to South Africa, Cameron Monaghan is having a devilishly good year. The young actor, who plays Jerome Valeska on the DC spinoff in addition to his role on the hit TV series Shameless, will be shipping off to Cape Town this Spring to star THE WHITE DEVIL, a new supernatural thriller from South African director Jahmil Qubeka. This is not to be confused with the Argentinian film of the same name.
Adapted by Qubeka and Julian Paul Stein from Justin Evans' 2011 novel, THE WHITE DEVIL follows:
a young American high school senior, who hopes to put his past behind him when he is enrolled by his father into a prestigious British boys’ academy. Soon he learns that the school has a past as well – one haunted by a vengeful former student who quickly forms an unhealthy attachment to him.
The film will be produced by Robert L. Stein and Michael Auret with Morris Ruskin exeuctive producing.
