Gotham Knights series in the works at The CW

Gotham Knights, series, The CW

Another DC Comics series is in the works at The CW. It’s been reported that a Gotham Knights series is in development from Natalie Abrams, Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux, all alums of The CW’s Batwoman series.

The Gotham Knights series will take place in the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder as his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights.

Natalie Abrams, Chad Fiveash, and James Stoteraux will pen the Gotham Knights series, with Fiveash and Stoteraux also serving as executive producers alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden, with Abrams co-executive producing. Despite the trio’s past with Batwoman, the Gotham Knights series isn’t a spinoff of that show, nor is it related to the Gotham Knights video game set to be released next year. The CW has proven to be a great home for DC projects, with The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow currently airing alongside Batwoman. The second season of Superman & Lois will debut on January 11, 2022. Both Supergirl and Black Lightning concluded earlier this year.
