Godzilla vs Kong was supposed to open today

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Early fan reactions from the recent test-screening have called director Adam Wingard's GODZILLA VS. KONG the best modern Monsterverse movie with a new synopsis teasing "a spectacular battle for the ages." Awesome, right? Well, today we just wanted to make sure you guys were aware that the movie was originally set to stomp into theaters today. But it's all good as this Coronavirus probably would have forced it back to November anyhow.

GODZILLA VS. KONG new synopsis:

Legends collide as Godzilla and Kong, the two most powerful forces of nature, clash on the big screen in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into fantastic uncharted terrain, unearthing clues to the Titans’ very origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.

Basically, GODZILLA VS. KONG will feature the Titans beating the ass off one another for an hour and change. But if you need to know more about the motion picture, here is the OLD official synopsis:

In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide as Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.

GODZILLA VS. KONG is directed by Adam Wingard from a screenplay written by Terry Rossio (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN). The film stars Alexander Skarsgard, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Eiza Gonzalez, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, Demian Bichir, Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, and Shun Oguri. Once set to hit on May 29 – then March 13 – GODZILLA VS.
