Director Adam Wingard's upcoming monster mash Godzilla vs. Kong is getting several tie-in books. We've previously reported on the children's books Kong & Me (buy it HERE) and Godzilla vs. Kong: Sometimes Friends Fight: (But They Always Make Up) (buy that one HERE), and now it has been announced that a novelization has been written by Greg Keyes – who previously wrote the Godzilla: King of the Monsters novelization – and will be released on April 6, 2021. You can pre-order a copy of the novelization at THIS LINK.
Keyes has also written a graphic novel called GvK: Godzilla Dominion, which has a street date of March 30th. That can be pre-ordered HERE.
Godzilla vs. Kong will be reaching theatres and the HBO Max streaming service on March 31st.
The novelization has the following description:
Humanity fights for its future as Godzilla and Kong embark on a path of destruction that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in an all-out war!
And here's the description for GvK: Godzilla Dominion –
A unique story that picks up after the events of the film Godzilla: King of the Monsters, where the Titans have risen and the reign of Godzilla has begun. As told entirely from Godzilla’s point of view, the graphic novel brings new insights into the King of Monsters: his habitats, ancient rivalries, challenges, and encounters with new Titans. As his new era of dominance is tested, a coming confrontation with another King looms.
Scripted by Mike Dougherty and Terry Rossio, Godzilla vs. Kong has the following synopsis:
In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.
Godzilla and Kong are joined in the cast by Alexander Skarsgard, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Eiza Gonzalez, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, Demian Bichir, Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, and Shun Oguri.
