It's been close to two years since production on Godzilla vs. Kong wrapped up, but owing to numerous delays, the legendary face-off between the two titans has eluded us, but that glorious moment is now just two months away. Warner Bros. announced last week that they would be pushing the release date of Godzilla vs. Kong forward from May 21st to March 26th, and now Legendary has taken to Twitter to reveal that the first trailer for the film will drop this Sunday. We did catch a brief glimpse of the showdown between Godzilla and King Kong in a recent HBO Max trailer, but I can't wait to get a more complete look at the film.
In addition, Legendary has also released a new poster for Godzilla vs. Kong, which you can check out below.
Here's the official logline for Godzilla vs. Kong: "In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever." The film, which stars Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, Alexander Skarsgard, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Zhang Ziyi, Demian Bichir, and Julian Dennison, will hit theaters and HBO Max on March 26, 2021.
