Godzilla: Singular Point opening and ending theme music released online

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

The anime series Godzilla: Singular Point is already available to watch on Netflix in Japan, but subscribers in other countries are going to have to wait until sometime in June before we'll have the chance to see it. In the meantime, at least we can listen to the show's opening and ending theme music. Toho Animation has uploaded the music to YouTube, and you can listen to it in the embeds above below.

The music is accompanied by images of characters and creatures from the series, but it's not clear if all of the monsters on display are actually on the show.

Directed by Atsushi Takahashi, Godzilla: Singular Point combines hand-drawn and CG animation styles. The creative team includes designer Eiji Yamamori, colorist Yuji Kaneko, sci-fi novelist Toh Enjoe, Blue Exorcist comic creator Kazue Kato, and composer Kan Sawada. The show has the following synopsis:

When danger comes up from the depths, only young geniuses Mei, Yun, and their team can face the threat.

Although Netflix previously released a trilogy of animated Godzilla films (Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle, and Godzilla: The Planet Eater), they have made it clear that Godzilla: Singular Point has "a new cast and an original story" that is not related to those movies.

Performed by BiSH, Singular Point's opening theme is called "in case…" The ending theme is "Aoi", performed by Polkadot Stingray.
