GODZILLA RESURGENCE, by all accounts, looks pretty kick-ass. American fans who are eagerly awaiting Toho's first Godzilla film in over a decade, you're about to receive some very good news.
FUNimation has acquired the film and will be distributing it on our side of the Pacific rim. The expected release date is late 2016, which is surprisingly swift for a foreign transplant. Hell, I'm still waiting to see COLD PREY III.
In the film, as expected:
Japan is plunged into chaos upon the appearance of a giant monster.
GODZILLA RESURGENCE is directed by Shinji Higuchi (ATTACK ON TITAN) and Hideaki Anno (Neon Genesis Evangelion) from a script by Anno. It stars Satomi Ishihara, Hiroki Hasegawa, and Yutaka Takenouchi. The film will crush Japanese theaters on July 29th, 2016.
