Hot off the news of TRCK 'R TREAT and KRAMPUS director Michael Doughertry being confirmed as director, and STRANGER THINGS actor Millie Bobby Brown joining the cast, it appears as if GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS – the follow up to Garth Edward's GODZILLA – is gearing up for some significant movement in the near future. According to omegaunderground.com, it's now being reported that production for the radioactive lizard's next stomptastic outting will begin on June 19th, 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia.
After production on GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS is all wrapped up, it's expected that preparations for the making of KING KONG VERSUS GODZILLA full-length feature will commense shortly thereafter.
As a long-time fan of the Godzilla franchise, I'm really stoked to hear that things are progressing smoothly for this "Monsterverse" ressurgance. I used to spend hours watching the old black and white Japanese Godzilla flicks with my family. And even if it wasn't flawless, I think Garth Edwards' GODZILLA was a solid stepping stone in the journey of bringing the big, bad lizard back into the limelight.
