According to our latest poll on which October release you guys are most looking forward to, CARRIE was tops with 58% of the vote, so unless there's some kind of conspiracy it would seem that the remake is in good shape. Today, we have two clips from the Stephen King adaptation starring Chloe Moretz, Julianne Moore, and Judy Greer, each of which highlight living with a crazy mother, while dealing with telekinetic powers and going out to prom. It's tough coming of age, eh?
Don't go to prom:
DO go to your closet:
Here's the synopsis:
A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White, a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother, who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.
I'm intrigued by CARRIE, but not completely sold. This is one of the few flicks that i'm interested to hear from the fanbase in terms of how it stacks up. Having never read the book and not being a major horror fan, I usually turn to those that are exceptionally well-versed in the genre to tip me off if it's worth the watch. Naturally, I'll judge for myself when the time comes and thus far it looks like it could be fun (and the R-rating is a definite plus…if they utilize it).
CARRIE sets fire to prom on October 18, 2013.
