When Jacob discovers clues to a mystery that spans different worlds and times, he finds Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. Given the lackluster X-Men flick that was APOCALYPSE, I'm willing to give this one a shot in hopes that we're given a better "variation". PECULIAR CHILDREN feels a little typical in its set-up and the fact that each child's power will come into action come the end, but maybe we're not seeing all there is to it. Hell, I'd argue that if the love story pays off, that'll make all the difference. We'll see, Mr. Burton!
