Go behind the scenes of Doctor Strange and Civil War in new featurettes

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

The Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Two Blu-ray box-set is set to be released tomorrow, but a few Marvel goodies have been released ahead of time. Two such featurettes are teasing what's to come in the MCU with a look behind-the-scenes at both CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR and DOCTOR STRANGE. We've already heard DOCTOR STRANGE director Scott Derrickson say that DOCTOR STRANGE will be "mind-trip action film," but now you can hear the words straight from Derrickson himself.

DOCTOR STRANGE will follow the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions. DOCTOR STRANGE is currently in production with filming taking place all over the world including London, New York, Hong Kong, and Kathmandu, Nepal. DOCTOR STRANGE will hit theaters on November 4, 2016.

Meanwhile, our next Marvel film, CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, will put a rift between Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) by putting their relationship in the balance, and it will also challenge the way you think about both characters as nothing will be the same by the time you leave the theater.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR kicks off after an incident leads to the Avengers developing a schism over how to deal with situations, which escalates into an open fight between allies Iron Man and Captain America. CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR will open on May 6, 2016. The Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Two Blu-ray box-set will be released on December 8, 2015, but you can still pre-order the set right here! The set contains Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, and Digital Copies of IRON MAN 3, THOR: THE DARK WORLD, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, and ANT-MAN in addition to a brand new set of special features.
