Not to launch into an unpopular opinion right off the bat, but I don't get all this fuss over Paul Feig's GHOSTBUSTERS reboot. It seems to have breached a level far higher than normal remake fever. While it doesn't look like the best movie ever made, there's no way in hell it can be worse than, say, PROM NIGHT.
A new international trailer has been released, and it's the best of the bunch so far. Featuring humor that's less… idiosyncratic, it might just be a soothing balm to anti-GHOSTBUSTERS rage. Obviously, if you're mad you're going to stay mad, but I think this one definitely better shows off how the film is going to operate. Check it out below!
The synopsis:
Dead criminals from all eras of New York’s underbelly past have returned to roost among the living in Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot. Pilgrims, old-timey sailors, Revolutionary War spirits, and even a couple of zoot-suited gangsters are ready to take on four formidable female busters looking to rid the city of its phantasmic filth.
That team consists of Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig, and Leslie Jones. They're joined in the cast by Chris Hemsworth, Neil Casey, Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams, Matt Walsh, Pat Kiernan, Cecily Strong, and Charles Dance. Original GHOSTBUSTERS stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and Sigourney Weaver make cameos, as does Ozzy Osbourne.
GHOSTBUSTERS will bust into theatres July 15th.
