“Give in to temptation” with the new season five poster for Lucifer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Lucifer will debut its fifth season on Netflix on August 21 and the streamer has now released a fresh new poster for season five that hints at devilish temptation.

With its tagline "give in to temptation", the poster seems to hint at Chole Decker (Lauren German) may seal the deal with the Devil, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis). When last we left out duo, Tom Ellis’ Lucifer had bid Chloe a sad farewell — and just as she had uttered those three not-so-little words! — before returning to Hell, to keep restless demons from trying to escape topside. When asked what will be happening with Chole and Lucifer this season, co-showrunner Joe Henderson teased "We can’t say much, but know that Ildy [Modrovich] and I are Deckerstar fans ourselves, so we asked ourselves… what do we want to see happen between Lucifer and Chloe? What haven’t we explored or explained yet? And we’ve tried to get all of that in Season 5.”

The first half of season five (consisting of eight episodes) will begin streaming on August 21 while a date for the release of the second half of season five has yet to be determined. Lucifer was also recently renewed for a sixth and final season at Netflix which also doesn't have a premiere date at this time. Do YOU like the season five poster for Lucifer?
