It's been some time since MTV's Scream TV series last graced the small-screen, but the network had actually renewed the show for a third season back in 2016 which was shot the following year and then sat on a shelf. Now, Ghostface is set to return as the third season of Scream is finally going to air. Titled Scream: Resurrection, the six-episode season will debut on VH1 this time around and a new teaser trailer has been released which gives us a taste of what to expect.
As you can see, the iconic Ghostface mask has made its triumphant return. Not only that, but Roger Jackson, who voiced the killer throughout the SCREAM film series, is back to reprise the role. The new season centers on Deion Elliot (RJ Cyler), a local star football running back, whose tragic past comes back to haunt him and threaten his hard-earned plans for the future – and the lives of his unlikely group of friends. Scream's third season also stars Mary J. Blige, Keke Palmer, Tyler Posey, Tyga, Giorgia Whigham, Jessica Sula, C.J. Wallace, Giullian Yao Gioiello, and Paris Jackson.
Scream: Resurrection will debut on VH1 on July 8th and will air two episodes each night through to July 10th.
