Ghostbusters: Afterlife won't be reaching theatres until November 11th, but Ghostbusters fans who want to see glimpses behind the scenes should keep an eye on "Mythbuster" Adam Savage's website Tested.com and the Tested YouTube channel. A newly released Tested video revealed that Savage was given the chance to spend some time on the Ghostbusters: Afterlife set, and this 2 minute glimpse behind the scenes (which you can see below) also serves as an announcement that there are more Afterlife videos to come.
Here's the video description:
Adam Savage is an ENORMOUS fan of Ghostbusters, so when he heard his friend Jason Reitman was helming the newest film, he was beyond ecstatic. But when he was then INVITED TO SET to go behind the scenes, well, his joy had no bounds. Here's a sneak peek of all the amazing things Adam will be showing you about the making of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, from sets to props to, yes, the Ecto-1. Don’t miss Ghostbusters: Afterlife exclusively in movie theaters Nov. 11.
Directed by Jason Reitman from a screenplay he wrote with Gil Kenan, Ghostbusters: Afterlife stars Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, and Carrie Coon as a family
with single mom Callie and her two kids, Trevor and Phoebe, who move into a beaten-down farmhouse in Oklahoma only to discover that there’s something strange in the neighborhood. Unexplained quakes shake the town. There’s an old mine nearby that bears the name of Ivo Shandor, who built the Manhattan high-rise in the 1984 film that channeled the forces of evil.
Paul Rudd plays "a local teacher who’s been documenting the unexplained phenomena, befriending Callie and her kids, and helping make the connection between the current weirdness and the events of three decades before". Celeste O'Connor, Logan Kim, Bokeem Woodbine, Tracy Letts, and Oliver Cooper are also in the cast, with Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and Sigourney Weaver reprising their roles from the original Ghostbusters (watch it HERE) and Ghostbusters II (watch that one HERE).
Reitman's father Ivan Reitman, the director of the first two Ghostbusters movies, produced this one, with Aykroyd serving as executive producer alongside Kenan, Jason Blumenfeld, Michael Beugg, Aaron L. Gilbert, and Jason Cloth.
