Ghostbusters: Afterlife action figures bring back original cast (SPOILERS)

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is coming in hot with nostalgia and nothing proves that more than a series of action figures that bring back the original cast.

A new line of action figures have been revealed by Hasbro and it shows the original team throwing on their classic uniforms and joining forces with the new cast. The toys are part of Hasbro's Plasma series and they are a detailed set of 6-inch Ghostbusters action figures with a selection of accessories. The line will feature models of an older Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Raymond Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) as they appear in the 2021 movie. The figures will go on sale this fall for $23 each. You can check out images of the action figures below!

In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, “After being evicted from their home, two children and their single mother move to a farm inherited from their late grandfather, located in Summerville, Oklahoma. When the town experiences a series of unexplained earthquakes, the children discover their family’s link to the original Ghostbusters, who have become something of a myth as many have long since forgotten the events of the Manhattan Crossrip of 1984. They discover the secret legacy that their grandfather left behind.” The film also stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace, while original Ghostbusters stars Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts also reprise their roles. Adding more pedigree to the sequel is that Jason Reitman, son of original Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman, co-wrote the film (along with Gil Kenan) and took on directing duties.
