Remember the Tim Burton Exhibit that was held at the Museum of Modern Art? Well, now it’s traveled to Paris and turned into a mega expo.
What do you get to see if you go? According to La Cinematheque Francaise, this is what is to be discovered:
700 works on exhibit: Drawings, sculptures (including several original works created by Tim Burton for the exhibition), large-format Polaroids made by the artist, accessories, models, costumes and film excerpts (unreleased long and short features).
Associated with the exhibition:
– A Tim Burton retrospective
– Guided tours
– Itineraries
– Get-togethers
– Pedagogical workshops…
– And the exhibition catalogue in collaboration with MoMA, in French.
A poster for the event shows frequent Burton collaborator, Johnny Depp in character for DARK SHADOWS as Barnabas Collins. I’m debating whether I like the poster or not. Love Burton, though I’m not too in love with the look of Barnabas. Also, it gives me a CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY vibe. Do not want.
Check out the poster below.
