We let you guys know back in May that George A. Romero had another zombie flick in the works by the name of ROAD OF THE DEAD. Back then it seemed as if Romero and co. were looking for funding for the film, and that still seems to be the case today.
The new DEAD flick is co-written by Romero and set to be directed by Matt Birman, who was the second unit director on Romero's last few OF THE DEAD flicks, including LAND OF THE DEAD. And today the first sales art for the film was released, which you can check out below!
ROAD OF THE DEAD takes place six years after LAND OF THE DEAD and is set
on an island where zombie prisoners race cars in a modern-day Coliseum for the entertainment of wealthy humans.
Gotta keep that social commentary going, right Romero?
Again, you can check out the first sales poster for the film below and then let us know how excited you are for George A. Romero's return to the living dead on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!
ROAD OF THE DEAD is currently still seeking financing, but you can always just buy LAND OF THE DEAD on Blu-ray RIGHT HERE!
