Another actor from HBO's Game of Thrones has joined J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: EPISODE VII. Gwendoline Christie joined the project back in June, and now BBC News is reportting Miltos Yerolemou (Syrio "The first sword of Braavos does not run" Forel) has been cast in the upcoming film, and although the site claims it won't be a major role, some believe he might play a bigger part in Episodes VIII and/or IX.
Miltos Yerolemou has showed off his skills as swordsman in other projects besides Game of Thrones, and because of that some have speculated his character might use a lightsaber in STAR WARS: EPISODE VII. I think that's a bit of a stretch, but I also wouldn't mind if Yerolemou ended up playing a Jedi in the movie.
I thought Miltos Yerolemou's Syrio Forel was one of the best characters from the first season of Game of Thrones, and I'm hoping the size of his role will increase in the sequels. But who knows, maybe his character will die within the first fifteen minutes of STAR WARS: EPISODE VII. The point I'm trying to make here is there's very little we know (for sure) about the plot and characters for the next Star Wars flick, and just because Yerolemou is handy with a sword doesn't mean he'll end up with a lightsaber in his hands in the movie.
STAR WARS: EPISODE VII will be in theaters on December 18, 2015.
