Game of Thrones’ Jacob Anderson stars in Comedown, hitting VOD in August

A unique new UK thriller is making its way towards us this August, and we've got the skinny on when you can expect it, as well as some stills for ya to check out, below.

"Game of Thrones" actor Jacob Anderson – who plays  one of Daenerys Targaryen's "unsullied" Grey Worm – stars in COMEDOWN, a new tale of tense thrills that plays on the standard stalk 'n kill tropes but throws an interesting twist into the mix.

The film is making its way to the U.S. on VOD on August 5th, courtesy of The Orchard and Shock Till You Drop, also hitting iTunes, Amazon and other VOD platforms the same day.

Directed by Menhaj Huda (KIDULTHOOD), the film finds Anderson playing one of six friends – all of whom have known each other from childhood.

They break into the tower block they lived in as kids, now deserted and condemned, to rig-up a pirate radio station, get high and party. When one of the group goes missing, this group begin to search the dark interior of the tower and soon realize that they are not alone: a resident psychopath lurks in the shadows and is hunting them down, taking them out, one-by-one.

The interesting angle here is that the hero (played by Anderson) – who wishes to spend the night in this tower block sober – is drugged (as a joke) and he must not only take on the threat, but do it while he's "high." Hey, I've been known to do some amazing shit when I'm drunk (like walk a straight line, touch my nose, and convince the cops I was sober), but I wouldn't wanna take on a murderous psycho while high. I can barely form an intelligible sentence when I'm blazed.

Steven Kendall penned the script. Look for COMEDOWN on VOD August 5.
