Gabrielle Union proves payback is a mother in Breaking In trailer

If you have the opportunity to take your mom to see a movie during Mother's Day weekend, Universal Pictures will be releasing a perfect film for the occasion: V FOR VENDETTA director James McTeigue's home invasion thriller BREAKING IN.

To some, that may seem like an odd genre to take your mom to see, but this film is all about a mother who will do whatever it takes to save her children from a bad situation. Written by Ryan Engle, BREAKING IN stars Gabrielle Union as a woman who,

after the sudden death of her father, takes her two kids to Dad's Malibu mansion to settle his estate. But awaiting her are four villains intent on finding the deceased's safe and making off with its contents. Little do they know, no trap, no trick and especially no man inside will stop this mom from trying to rescue her two children being held hostage in a house designed with impenetrable security.

Also in the cast are Billy Burke, Richard Cabral, Seth Carr, and Ajiona Alexus.

BREAKING IN is scheduled to reach theatres on May 11th, and that Sunday, May 13th, is Mother's Day in the United States.
