Two more cast members have been announced for the Russell Crowe psychological thriller UNHINGED, which is currently filming in New Orleans, and both of these new additions have been seen in recently released horror movies.
Gabriel Bateman, who played Andy Barclay in the CHILD'S PLAY remake, has joined the cast of UNHINGED in an unspecified role.
Taking on a "key role" is Jimmi Simpson, who ran into trouble in the March installment of the Hulu / Blumhouse series Into the Dark, TREEHOUSE.
Bateman and Simpson are moving on from facing killer dolls and witches to having to deal with a raging Crowe.
Directed by Derrick Borte from a script by Carl Ellsworth, UNHINGED
takes an ordinary, everyday incident to its most terrifying conclusion in telling the story of Rachel, a mother who leans on her horn at the wrong time, to the wrong guy (Crowe). “Road rage” doesn’t begin to describe what he’s about to do to her and everyone she knows.
Caren Pistorius is playing Rachel, the woman who sets off Crowe's character with a honk of a horn.
Solstice Studios is planning a wide theatrical release for UNHINGED in the third quarter of 2020.
