The FX network has been doing well for itself in the genre series department, so they're doubling down on the horror this season, bringing in sci-fi elements with the AI thriller Basilisk. The series is being developed by The Walking Dead writer Curtis Gwinn (who also wrote the show) and Francis Lawrence, director of the final three HUNGER GAMES movies and I AM LEGEND.
Basilisk is:
a gritty horror series that follows an atheistic college therapist and her computer genius patient, as they find themselves pulled into a plot to awaken a malevolent, god-like artificial intelligence.
Gwinn and Lawrence are executive producing with 3 Arts’ Erwin Stoff and Oly Obst. More news as the show develops!
