The Netflix series Stranger Things became a pop culture sensation when the first season premiered in the summer of 2016, and it remains extremely popular today, despite large gaps between seasons. A year and a half after the release of season 2, the third season will be reaching the streaming service on July 4th – and this morning they have released a full trailer online to promote the release.
Being popular certainly seems to have paid off for this show, as this trailer boasts some very impressive, large scale, cinematic imagery. It lets us catch up with beloved characters, drops them into the middle of a majestic 1980s shopping mall, and mixes in some intensity – like shots of a monster, a hitman who looks like he'd be right at home in THE GUEST, and somebody in a gas mask having a bad time.
And it's all set to Mötley Crüe and The Who.
Stranger Things 3 stars returning actors Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Dacre Montgomery, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, Winona Ryder, and David Harbour, along with new additions Francesca Reale, Maya Hawke, Jake Busey, and Cary Elwes.
A synopsis hasn't been released for the season, but we do know that it's set in 1985 and these are the titles of the episodes:
Suzie, Do You Copy?
The Mall Rats
The Case of the Missing Lifeguard
The Sauna Test
The Source
The Birthday
The Bite
The Battle of Starcourt
I'm a fan of this show and the new trailer is awesome, so I will definitely be watching season 3 this summer.
