McKaley Miller, who had roles in the Blumhouse genre projects Ma and Into the Dark: Pure, stars in the horror thriller Full Ride, with Anne Heche (I Know What You Did Last Summer) and Dermot Mulroney (Insidious: Chapter 3) among her co-stars. Deadline reports that Full Ride recently wrapped production in Georgia, and Quiver Distribution (which holds the worldwide rights) is planning to give the film an early 2023 release.
Stay Out of the F**king Attic director Jerren Lauder teamed up with newcomer Beth Hanna to bring Full Ride to the screen, telling the story of
straight-edge Eden (Miller), who after being waitlisted at Yale, attends a coveted ‘Heaven and Hell’ party, in the hopes of receiving a letter of recommendation from the wealthy parents of her well-connected classmate. But things aren’t what they seem and the party quickly turns into a fight for her life.
Brad Martocello and Walker Hare wrote the screenplay.
Full Ride was produced by Joshua Russell, Kevin Greene, Seth Ingram, Michael Dunaway, Mark Goldberg, and Gerald T. Olson, with Quiver’s Berry Meyerowitz and Jeff Sackman serving as executive producers with Larry Greenberg.
Meyerowitz and Sackman had this to say about the project:
Full Ride is a chilling critique of the politics surrounding college admissions while simultaneously providing plenty of suspense. Anchored by knockout performances from McKaley, Anne, and Dermot and led by an impressive filmmaking duo, we’re thrilled to be able to take audiences on this exhilarating ride.”
This sounds like an interesting one to me, and it’s always good to see Dermot Mulroney in a movie, so I look forward to checking it out in 2023. How does Full Ride sound to you? Share your thoughts by leaving a comment below.
