It has become a yearly tradition for Full Moon to release a new installment in their EVIL BONG franchise on April 20th… you know, 4/20. That tradition continues this year with the release of EVIL BONG 777, the seventh film in the series (or the eighth if you count the crossover GINGERDEAD MAN VS. EVIL BONG).
The previous entry was titled EVIL BONG 666, and while the 777 title may seem like a nonsensical way to follow that up, it actually makes more sense than it first appears to: the film is set in Las Vegas, so 777 is a slot machine reference.
Picking up where 666 left off, 777 finds that
our scowling weed-spewing Eebee is out of "Sexy Hell" and heading to Las Vegas with danger on her tail! She's joined by her whack pack of fabulous freaks: Faux Batty, Rabbit, Misty and The Gingerweed Man.
Get ready for a tidal wave of smutty, skunky, surreal insanity as the gang gets into all manner of misadventures. Can Vegas handle this gaggle of ganja-fied weirdos?
The film's cast includes Sonny Carl Davis, Robin Sydney, Jessica Morris, Mindy Robinson, Tonya Kay, and Elina Madison.
EVIL BONG 777 was directed by Full Moon founder Charles Band from a screenplay by Kent Roudebush, based on a story Band crafted with Brockton McKinney.
EVIL BONG isn't one of my favorite Full Moon franchises and I have fallen behind on watching some of the sequels, but anything that brings Full Moon continued success is a good thing in my book.
EVIL BONG 777 will be available for viewing through Full Moon's Amazon channels, Hulu, and FullMoonDirect.com on April 20th. A DVD and Blu-ray release will follow at a later, unspecified date.
