We’ve been getting all sorts of small, quick looks at the upcoming movie EL CAMINO: A BREAKING BAD MOVIE, with the latest teaser dropping on Sunday during the Emmys. But now the first official trailer for the Netflix movie is here, showing the returning Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman, who clearly hasn’t missed a beat in the time since he played the character on the popular show. Directed by original series creator Vince Gilligan, this is shaping up to be not only a must-see for BREAKING BAD fans, but one of the must-sees of the whole fall season.

Simply put…wow. Wow wow wow, this film looks incredible. Picking up right after the season finale left off, many of us fans assumed Pinkman would ditch the world he knew, but it seems he went straight to the people he had left, his friends, Skinny Pete (Charles Baker) and Badger (Matt Jones). Paul, who won several Emmys for his work on the show, seems right back at home returning as Pinkman, who now has some loose ends of his own to tie up but is still reeling from his most recent losses. He did stunning work on the show and looks to be doing the same here. Could get an Oscar nomination for playing a character he won Emmys for?
A trademark of the show was always its gorgeous cinematography, showcasing the beautiful New Mexico landscape in ways no one had ever seen before on TV (let alone cable), and Gilligan really made this look like it's own thing, finally getting to film these characters in an actual movie. It looks gorgeous and tense, with that final shot recalling classic Westerns, right before the two characters draw their weapons. The movie won't be slowing things down for people who haven't seen the show, so if you *still* haven't seen the show, you best get into binging mode now.
EL CAMINO: A BREAKING BAD MOVIE will play in select theaters and arrives on Netflix on October 11.
