DC Comics characters have been appearing on the big screen since the 1970s, and through the many film versions of both Superman and Batman over the past few decades, we never saw Wonder Woman make an appearance. After over seventy five years of being a staple of the DC universe, Diana Prince was finally committed to live action movie history in BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE. The highly anticipated superhero film was highly polarising when it was released in 2016, but undoubtedly the resounding opinion was that Gal Gadot (FAST & FURIOUS 6, WONDER WOMAN) nailed the part of Wonder Woman. Now that we're finally seeing a solo movie for the Amazonion warrior princess, we take a look back at the history of the character, dating all the way back to 1941, and how Wonder Woman has transitioned from the page, to the big and small screen over the years!
