Hello darkness, my old friend, I've come to chuckle at Ben Affleck's indifference with you again.
And lo, another "Sad Affleck" video meme has been bequeathed unto us by the almighty internet! In the video, we find Ben Affleck completely disengaged while participating in an interview for JUSTICE LEAGUE alongside his Cyborg co-star Ray Fisher. While some may postulate that Affleck is zeroing in on what Fisher has to share, his dead-man's stare tells me a different story.
Rather than hearing the haunting soundscape of Simon and Garfunkle's "The Sound of Silence" played over the debatable footage, the creator of the new video has chosen "I Need Some Sleep" by the Eels to accompany Affleck's supposed disillusion. It might not be as funny as the original video, though it's still bound to put a smile on your face as you gaze into the abyss of Affleck's soul as the camera eases in.
You can check out the hilarious video below:
Whether or not Affleck will once again don the cape and cowl as Batman for Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment's DCEU remains unclear. In what we've heard, the GONE GIRL actor is still game to portray the Dark Knight for DC's FLASHPOINT film starring Ezra Miller, Billy Crudup, Kiersey Clemons, Gal Gadot, and Ray Fisher, though I don't know if we should be holding our breath on that dicey commitment.
With any luck, the "Will He or Won't He" Batfleck situation will get ironed out sooner rather than later. In the meantime, there are still plenty of DC-related projects to get excited about such as Patty Jenkins' WONDER WOMAN sequel, James Wan and Jason Momoa's AQUAMAN, and of course, Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN. Here's hoping for great things from each of those projects, and whatever else Warner Bros. and DC have planned for the future.
