From: Catalina Sandino Moreno, Eion Bailey, Harold Perrineau join Epix show

Last month, we learned that Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo's company AGBO is teaming up with Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg of Midnight Radio to bring us the "contemporary sci-fi horror series" From, which the premium network Epix has given a 10 episode straight-to-series order to. Now we know that the show is going to star Catalina Sandino Moreno (an Oscar nominee for her performance in Maria Full of Grace), Eion Bailey (recently seen in the new version of The Stand), and Harold Perrineau (Lost).

This is a reunion for Perrineau and Lost director/executive producer Jack Bender, who will be directing the first four episodes of From. Bender is also known for his work on Mr. Mercedes and Child's Play 3.

Written and created by John Griffin, From will 

unravel the mystery of a nightmarish town in middle America that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest – including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down.

Perrineau's character is Boyd Stevens, "the sheriff whose Draconian rules have held the fragile town together, even as he searches for a way to escape this seemingly inescapable nightmare."

Bailey and Moreno will be playing married couple Jim and Tabitha Matthews, who are "struggling in the aftermath of a personal tragedy and suddenly find their family trapped in the town. Together they must find a way to keep their children safe, struggling to come to terms with this new reality even as they desperately search for a way back home."

From will begin filming in Halifax this month, and is expected to premiere on Epix sometime in 2022.

Griffin and Bender are executive producing the show with the Russos, Appelbaum, Nemec, Pinkner, and Rosenberg. Midnight Radio's Adrienne Erickson is co-executive producer. From is a co-production between Epix Studios and MGM International Television Productions. 

Outside the United States, From will be distributed through the Netflix streaming service.
