From a Whisper to a Scream (1987) Revisited – Horror Movie Review

It’s time for a new episode of our Best Horror Movie You Never Saw video series (released under the Revisited banner), and in this one we’re looking at a truly unknown little horror flick, 1987’s From a Whisper to a Scream, starring one of the old-school legends of horror, Vincent Price!

The anthology format has always been a perfect home for horror. From the early days of eerie TV, with shows like Alfred Hitchcock Presents and The Twilight Zone, to big screen terrors from Hammer Horror and Amicus, to bona fide classics like Creepshow and Trick ‘r Treat, it’s an excellent format in which to dispense multiple offerings of mayhem to the audience. From a Whisper to a Scream (1987) is of a similar vein, starring Vincent Price as a spooky small-town historian telling four terrifying tales to a journalist. In addition to Price, the film stars genre fave Susan Tyrell, Terry Kiser (Bernie from Weekend at Bernies), Clu Gulager and more. Also released under the alternative title The Offspring, From a Whisper to a Scream is worth checking out!

This episode of the Best Horror Movie You Never Saw is written by Eric Walkuski, narrated by Shawn Knippelberg, edited by Paul Bookstaber, and produced by Tyler Nichols and John Fallon. Berge Garabedian is the executive producer.
