Friday the 13th: The Game unmasks Part IX Jason for the first time ever!

Holy sh*t!

I posted earlier the full hour-long video the guys behind FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE GAME put out for the PAX panel, but truth be told, I didn't watch the video before I posted it. That said, right when I got off my shift, I click it on and 17:50 into the video the guys drop a MASSIVE bombshell! 

They have recreated (with zero reference) what Jason's face looks like under the mask in JASON GOES TO HELL! I don't think I need to remind you guys how much I f*cking love JASON GOES TO HELL, so this is kind of a monumental day for me. Especially considering how amazing the design is.

Anyhow, here is what they have to say about the "umasked Part 9 Jason":

In Friday the 13th: Part 9, everyone kind of knows there was a mistake made with Jason’s undermask – the face under the mask. For some odd reason, the eyes got reversed; it’s Jason’s left eye that’s supposed to be damaged, cause in Part 4 he takes the machete to the head. But in Part 9, it was reversed on accident. So when it came time to make the model for Part 9, we decided to fix it. So if you're a really, really hardcore fan, you'll think that's pretty cool.

I'll add, the undermask has never been seen. There’s like one photo going around the internet of Kane [Hodder] without a mask on, so no one really knows what he looks like underneath. So this is our interpretation.

There were people who wanted us to keep the mistake in there, but we couldn't live with ourselves."

"So if you're a really, really hardcore fan, you'll think that's pretty cool." That sh*t is the understatement of the year. Wow. This is way too cool. If you haven't pre-ordered the game by now, I hate to be the one to break it to you, but you are not right in the head, brother.
