Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood screening at the filming location

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Next month, On Set Cinema will holding their third annual Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI (watch it HERE) event at Hard Labor Creek State Park / Camp Daniel Morgan in Rutledge, Georgia, the place where the movie was filmed. That event is sold out, but On Set Cinema will be celebrating another Friday the 13th movie two months later when they show Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (watch it HERE) at its filming location in Bay Minette, Alabama.

Here's all of the information on the New Blood event:

Attention campers! Join ON SET CINEMA this October in Alabama for a special Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood event! For the first time ever, fans will get to watch the movie exactly where it was filmed …at Byrnes Lake (aka Crystal Lake) where the majority of the movie takes place! We will be setting up an outdoor screen, directly by the lake, between where the party house and the Shepard house once stood (they were shell houses built specifically for the film). So many great scenes from The New Blood take place at this location – this is where young Tina kills her father at the beginning of the movie, where Tina uses her telekinetic powers to awaken Jason in the lake, where Jason kills Russell with an axe swing to the face, where Sandra gets pulled under water and drowned by Jason, exactly where Ben and Kate are having sex in the van and both meet an untimely death… oh, that party horn, where Tina and Jason face-off at the end, where the iconic Judy sleeping bag kill scene takes place, and so much more!

We're doing 2 back-to-back overnight events on Monday, October 25th and Tuesday, October 26th – ticket holders will check in at noon at Bicentennial Park in Stockton (nothing was filmed at this location but this park allows overnight camping). Everyone will have time to setup their tents, picnic/cook out and enjoy the day at the camp – there will be games (egg toss, corn hole, badminton, board games, video games, etc), campfires, marshmallows / s’mores and more. Around 5:30pm that evening, everyone will carpool to Byrnes Lake (20 minutes away) to watch a complimentary outdoor screening of Friday the 13th Part VII by the lake, exactly where it was filmed! After the screening, we'll all head back to base-camp and hang out, roast marshmallows and watch more Friday films outside (weather permitting). This is sure to be an incredible experience for any NEW BLOOD fan! So campers, grab a date or a soap on-a-rope and join us…Jason will be waiting! Ki Ki Ki Ma Ma Ma …Ki Ki Ki Ma Ma Ma…

***** 16+ ONLY EVENT. Admission includes overnight stay at Bicentennial Park. Primitive tent camping. Must provide your own tent and camping equipment. There will be restrooms at the camp (no showers). Check out is 10:00AM the next morning. Limited electricity at the park. There is plenty of room on the property for everyone to spread out and enjoy the night. Admission also includes all games, outdoor movie screening of THE NEW BLOOD (scheduled to take place at Byrnes Lake, but will be moved to picnic shelter at Bicentennial Park if weather is bad), firewood, marshmallows, s’mores and more. Food is NOT INCLUDED – all campers must provide their own food for the day (there is NOT a kitchen or refrigerator at the park – you're welcome to leave at any point during the event to go get food and you're also welcome to bring a cooler). Friday the 13th is my favorite horror franchise, so these events where the movies are screened where they were filmed, events I can never actually make it to, sound incredible to me.
