Friday the 13th 1980 campground filming location offers Halloween tours

More than forty years ago, a Boy Scouts of America camp in Hardwick Township, New Jersey served as the primary filming location for one of the most popular horror films ever made. That camp is Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, the film was the 1980 classic FRIDAY THE 13TH (watch it HERE), and now the camp is regularly offering tours of the location to fans who want to see where the F13 franchise began.

Being able to take a stroll around Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco would be cool at any time of the year, but it'd be even cooler to take a tour during the Halloween season… and some lucky fans are going to have the chance to do just that this year.

Tickets are now on sale at CrystalLakeTours.com for camp tours scheduled to take place on October 23rd, 24th, 25th, 30th, and on Halloween. There will also be tours on Friday, November 13th (visiting the FRIDAY THE 13TH location on Friday the 13th? That's even better than Halloween!) and Saturday, November 14th.

Lakefront Tours: Starting at $89 plus tax and fees. These shorter tours take you directly to the center of the Camp Crystal Lake movie set: the lake! You will visit 5 filming locations in this area and have plenty of time to take photos. Includes special gifts (approximately $30 value).

Full Tours: Starting at $159 plus tax and fees. The full loop tour includes all filming locations at the camp and plenty of time to take photos. The evening session of this tour also includes all filming locations – IN THE DARK! Bring your flashlight along to experience our first-ever night tours. Includes special gifts (approximately $30 value).

These socially distanced tour events have been organized in the hopes that they will be able to replace the summer camp revenue that was lost this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So fans who take part will be helping out the camp in a major way. However, before you purchase a ticket, keep in mind that all tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Minimum age for the tours is 15 with legal guardian, and tickets will not be sold at the gate on the day.

I won't be able to make it to these specific tours this year, but I would really like to visit Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco someday.
