Look, no one is sicker of more streaming services flooding the market than me (especially since it seems unlikely my mom will be paying for this one), but NBC's version called Peacock – which launches today – is at least taking the "it's free, unless you want no ads (and to unlock some Premium content)" route (where you'll pay either $4.99/month to $9.99/month), like early Hulu did. This is, of course, a different strategy than similar approaches by CBS or…ugh…Quibi…that were "pay only" subscription services.
And, to be fair, the free content is stacked, especially for horror films and TV shows! Take a look at the selection below:

Honestly, as a horror fan, this is a pretty damn good roster! Not only does it have all of the original Universal Horror films represented (including many I wasn't even aware existed!), but also great films like FRAILTY, LOST HIGHWAY, and YOU'RE NEXT, as well as some fun so-bad-they're-good fare like MEGA SHARK VS. GIANT OCTOPUSS and SPAWN.
