Freddy, Jason, Leatherface & more hit Netflix next month

For once it looks like Netflix is going to have a killer month as today we have word that the streaming giant will be adding some great flicks to their service in April. Some of the highlights include director Marcus Nispel's 2009 remake of FRIDAY THE 13TH along with Ronny Yu's monster mash FREDDY VS JASON and the Adam Marcus-scripted TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D starring Alexandra Daddario.

But that's not all, there's also the second season of Netflix's THE CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA coming our way starring Kiernan Shipka. And speaking of Shipka, one of the most interesting movies hitting the streaming giant this April is THE SILENCE. Directed by John R. Leonetti (ANNABELLE, MORTAL KOMBAT: ANNIHILATION) it stars Shipka, Stanley Tucci, Miranda Otto, John Corbett, Kate Trotter, and Kyle Breitkopf.

When the world is under attack from terrifying creatures who hunt their human prey by sound, 16-year old Ally Andrews (Kiernan Shipka), who lost her hearing at 13, and her family seek refuge in a remote haven. But they discover a sinister cult who are eager to exploit Ally’s heightened senses.

I may be stretching the titles below, but I'm going to go ahead and add in some movies to the list that aren't horror but still might be of interest to all of us movie fans out there, such as David Gordon Green's PINEAPPLE EXPRESS starring Seth Rogan and Danny McBride. Which by the way, following the success Green and McBride had last year on HALLOWEEN, and all the gore contained within the comedy, PINEAPPLE EXPRESS should now be considered an unofficial horror movie, am I right?
