Fred Durst’s Moose starring John Travolta hits Amazon this month

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

It was only a week or so ago that we shared your first look at Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst's MOOSE starring John Travolta as a one-eyed stalker hunting and tormenting Devon Sawa's movie star character. The first look came out way via a poster and a still (see above) and today we have word that Amazon Studios has acquired VOD rights to the film and will begin streaming it later this month. It is also set to hit limited theaters this September.

On a side note, the film is said to have been retitled THE FANATIC (see poster below) but now it seems that this may be the movie's international title and when it lands of Amazon this month it will be going by the name MOOSE. I guess we'll find out for sure soon.

The story is inspired by a real-life fan who pursued Durst many years ago, and the screenplay was written by Durst and Dave Bekerman. It follows

Moose (played by John Travolta), who gets cheated out of meeting his hero, Hunter Dunbar (Devon Sawa; Idle Hands, Final Destination). Moose then hunts down Dunbar to get the celebrity interaction he feels he deserves. Harmless at first, Moose’s actions begin to take a dark turn. Against the advice of his friend Leah (Ana Golja), Moose begins to make frequent visits to his hero’s private home. As the visits continue to escalate, Dunbar finds himself in increasing danger.

I don't know about you but I'm interested in checking out this film if only to see just how bonkers it actually is. I mean, one way or the other I don't see this flick meaning one of those middle-of-the-road movies. What do you think? Let us know below! MOOSE hits Amazon June 29th and then it will hit limited theaters September 6th.
