Truth be told, I didn't have high hopes for Fox's "Sleepy Hollow" in the lead up to the first season, but after just a couple of episodes I was most definitely hooked. It didn't come as a surprise that Fox was quick to order a second season considering the fanfare behind the show, which pulled in some fairly solid numbers throughout its first-season run. And if the first season of "Sleepy Hollow" left you wanting a little more, you’ll love what Fox has planned for season 2.
The breakout supernatural-historical thriller will produce at least 15 episodes for its sophomore season, with producers currently preparing for a potential total of 18 episodes, according to EW. That’s well above the 13-episode order for season one and gives producers more leeway to tell an ambitious story, which executive producer Mark Goffman says will have a war theme.
Back in March we brought you some words from the shows producers detailing what we can expect and giving us an idea of the direction they'll be going in the sophomore season, including hints on some new villains.
"Sleepy Hollow" was the first freshman series this season to get renewed for a second round — initially, 13 episodes. This news comes on the heels of "Sleepy Hollow" casting "The West Wing" actor Timothy Busfield as Benjamin Franklin in season 2.
Hopefully we'll be hearing word on when we can expect "Sleepy Hollow" season 2 to hit Fox soon. I'm looking forward to more from this fun and intriguing show.
