ABC’s “Lost” isn’t a movie, I know that. But it is more cinematic, more enthralling, and more innovative than the majority of films being churned out by Hollywood and therefor it deserves time on this site. All of us “Lost” fans are well aware that next season will be the show’s last, and anticipation over just what everything means is reaching fever pitch. Apparently Matthew Fox who plays Jack Sheppard on the show is the only castmember that knows how the series will end. Here’s what he had to say about it:
I think it is going to be very satisfying and cathartic and redemptive and beautiful. I’ve talked to Damon (Lindelof) pretty extensively and every time I talk to him it’s sort of surprising how moving it is just to talk about it.
I’ve noticed that with every conclusion to a season of “Lost” some member of the cast or crew feeds the hype machine with grandiose statements about game-changing, mind-blowing, and pant-wetting. Sometimes the endings live up to the hype, and sometimes they don’t. But if the series finale of “Lost” lets me down next year, bottle of whiskey and Brooklyn Bridge here I come.
