The filmmakers behind SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN had stated from the get-go that they would going for a heavy LORD OF THE RINGS vibe with their upcoming fairy tale re-imagining. And holy shit were they not kidding! And though the final film could still turn out to be a stinker, the striking quality of the picture just from that piece of marketing has already guaranteed a ticket purchase from me.
And now to continue the film’s marketing push (with each piece of material being like a bitch slap to Tarsem Singh and his MIRROR, MIRROR), Universal has released four new posters for the film, one of which gives us our first somewhat clear look at the Seven Dwarfs. As always, click any of the posters below for a bigger and clearer look over at our Pimpin’ Poster Palace.
SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN opens June 1, 2012.
Synopsis: In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar winner Charlize Theron) out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power. The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.
