From the co-creators of tHE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, FOUND FOOTAGE 3D arrives on Blu-ray & DVD on September 4th! The horror jumps off the screen in this unique twist on the beloved genre. When a film crew sets out to create "the first 3D found footage horror film", a dark presence makes their movie a reality. Special features include deleted scenes, outtakes and commentary from director Steven DeGennaro.
The movie is filled with good timed and is even (thank God) rated R for language throughout, violence/gore, and a scene of sexuality. Another cool extra thing is that the release comes with a pair of retro 3D glass so there's no use for a 3D TV. Pretty cool. huh?
The film follows this synopsis:
When he's hired to document the behind-the-scenes action of the ultra-low-budget horror movie Spectre of Death ("the first 3D found-footage horror film"), an aspiring filmmaker packs up his camera and travels with the film's crew to a creepy cabin in the woods. But, when the fictional evil presence from their film begins appearing in his behind-the-scenes footage, he has to figure out how to stop it before it finds its way into the real world.
I had the pleasure of checking out the film last Halloween when it hit Shudder (in 3D!) and I found the flick to be a fun meta spoof ala SCREAM… but you know, for found footage movies. Overall, I like the film and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't despise found footage movies. Hell people you hate the subgenre might love it more!
