Today we have some kinda sad news. It turns out that Evan Peters will be sitting out the upcoming ninth season of FX and Ryan Murphy's hit horror anthology series AMERICAN HORROR STORY. Peters was recently out and about promoting his role in the upcoming X-MEN movie DARK PHOENIX and was asked about his role in AHS 9 to which he replied:
No, I'm going to sit this season out.
For those who might need a refresher course, Peters starred as Tate Langdon in "Murder House," Kit Walker in "Asylum," Kyle Spencer in "Coven," Jimmy Darling in "Freak Show," James March in "Hotel," and the dual roles of Rory Monahan and Edward Phillipe Mott in "Roanoke." Along with multiple roles in the seventh season "Cult," (such as Charles Manson and David Koresh) and the most recent eight season "Apocalypse."
It's especially a shame that Peters was so close to being in 10 full seasons of the show. Oh, well. Maybe he'll return for AHS 10 or AHS:X or whatever they end up calling it. I guess we'll see one of these days. Until then, how sad are you to see Evan Peters take a leave of absence from AHS?
Let us know below!
All of this spat, there is a light at the end of the tunnel as Murphy recently revealed that Emma Roberts will have a role in the show's upcoming ninth season, making this her fifth season of the anthology series overall and her third in a row. Pro skier Gus Kenworthy will play her boyfriend.
