For All Mankind trailer finds NASA trying to put the first woman on the Moon

While it remains to be seen if Apple TV+ will be able to compete with streaming services like Netflix, let it never be said that they aren’t trying to take their slate of content into and beyond the stratosphere. To prove the point Apple has just dropped the first trailer for their new space drama FOR ALL MANKIND from Ronald D. Moore (BATTLESTAR GALACTICA), Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi, which envisions a world where Russia put a man on the Moon before we did, so in order to one-up them, NASA determines, “Screw them, we’re going to put the first woman on the Moon!” Take that, teenage Putin!

In an entertainment landscape where to envision an alternate history means to place humans in/set them on track for the apocalypse, FOR ALL MANKIND’s revisionist history looks refreshing. It puts viewers in a position to look at a moment and history and see the priorities and viewpoints shifted in fascinating ways. Who knows, maybe this is exactly what would’ve happened had Russia beaten us to the Moon…or we would've raced to get the first fast food joint up there.

The series stars Wrenn Schmidt, Sarah Jones, Shantel VanSanten, Jodi Balfour, Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, and more with Seth Gordon producing. The show will arrive on Apple TV+ on November 1, along with their other shows like SEE with Jason Momoa, THE MORNING SHOW with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon and DICKINSON with Hailee Steinfeld.
