We recently brought you the trailer for THE CELL director Tarsem Singh's upcoming sci-fi thriller SELF/LESS, which stars Ben Kingsley and Ryan Reynolds and takes place in a near-future where an old body can be discarded in favor of a younger one. Now The Wrap is reporting that Focus Features has shifted the films release, bumping it up three weeks earlier to July 10.
SELF/LESS had been set to roll out on July 31, when MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 5, an untitled Blumhouse film from STX and the Weinstein Company’s drama SOUTHPAW all debut.
Here's the synopsis of the flick:
In this provocative psychological science fiction thriller, an extremely wealthy man (Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley) dying from cancer undergoes a radical medical procedure that transfers his consciousness into the body of a healthy young man (Ryan Reynolds). But all is not as it seems when he starts to uncover the mystery of the body’s origin and the organization that will kill to protect its cause.
Also starring Michelle Dockery, Victor Garber, Natalie Martinez and Matthew Goode, SELF/LESS now opens on July 10.
