Fistful of Vengeance trailer expands the world of Netflix’s Wu Assassins

Wu Assassins fans rejoice! A standalone movie based on Netflix‘s fantasy-tinged martial arts series is making its way to the streaming platform, and the cast looks to be hitting harder than ever before. In 2019, Netflix entertained action fans with Wu Assassins, featuring Iko Uwais (The Raid) as Kai Jin, who possesses the power of a thousand monks. At the end of the first season, Kai and his friends found themselves coming face-to-face with mystical forces beyond their comprehension. With their lives under constant threat, the group finds themselves tipping the scales of a power struggle, unlike anything the world has ever seen. Buckle up because the Fistful of Vengeance trailer is about to continue Kai’s story in ways that no fan of the original series could have anticipated.

Per Netflix, here is the official synopsis for Fistful of Vengeance:

Super-powered assassin Kai and friends Lu Xin and Tommy track a killer from San Francisco’s Chinatown to Thailand to avenge the death of a loved one. But their hunt soon entangles them with old enemies, a mysterious billionaire and an ancient mystical force bent on taking over the world.

Today’s Fistful of Vengeance trailer features Kai and his compatriots kicking all kinds of ass, and as a fan of the original series, I am all about it. Directed by Roel Reiné, who helmed two episodes of Wu Assassins and is attached to direct episodes of the upcoming Halo TV series, Fistful of Vengeance stars Iko Uwais (Headshot), Lewis Tan (Mortal Kombat), Lawrence Kao (Max Steel), Pearl Thusi (Queen Sono), Juju Chan, Jason Tobin, Francesca Corney, Tony Kranz, and Rhatha Phongaam.
