Last week we showed you some stills and a new poster for PARKLAND, and now you can check out the first trailer for the film from Yahoo! Movies. PARKLAND is about the assassination of John F. Kennedy but instead of focusing on the President and the hours leading up to the shooting, the film follows the doctors, nurses, Secret Service agents and others that were there on that tragic day, and the chaos that followed.
The trailer makes PARKLAND look a little like it was made-for-television and I'm not sure if the actual shooting will be shown in the film like it's presented in the trailer (cutting back and forth between the real footage and Paul Giamatti's character filming the event) but I feel like it could have done a little smoother. It might work in the film and I'm still interested in seeing it, I'm just saying the scene kind of bugs me in the trailer.
PARKLAND starring Paul Giamatti, Marcia Gay Harden, Billy Bob Thornton, Zac Efron, Jackie Earle Haley, Tom Welling, Gil Bellows, James Badge Dale, Mark Duplass, Jacki Weaver, Rory Cochrane, Ron Livingston, and Colin Hanks is in theaters September 20, 2013.
