We’ve seen plenty of scary stuff dished out at Comic-Con so far – like the trailers for IT: CHAPTER TWO and CATS – and now the streaming service Shudder has added on one more to the pile with its first trailer for the new CREEPSHOW series. Arriving ahead of the series panel tonight the trailer comes with the announcement of the release date, September 26, and the footage itself teases a creepy collection of scary stories that feature plenty of corpses, creatures, twisted turns and, yes, Nazis.

A continuation of the original 1982 anthology movie from director George A. Romero and writer Stephen King, as well as the 1987 sequel, this new series hails from showrunner Greg Nicotero (THE WALKING DEAD) and features actors such as David Arquette (SCREAM), Adrienne Barbeau (The 1982 CREEPSHOW, ARGO), Tobin Bell (SAW), Giancarlo Esposito (BREAKING BAD), Tricia Helfer (BATTLESTAR GALACTICA), Dana Gould (THE SIMPSONS), DJ Qualls (ROAD TRIP) and more.
The series will consist of six episodes with two stories each, and Shudder revealed which stories will make up the premiere episode. First, there’s the Stephen King story “Gray Matter,” adapted by writers Byron Willinger and Philip de Blasi (THE COMMUTER), directed by Nicotero, and starring Barbeau, Esposito and Bell. Next, we have “House of the Head,” written by Josh Malerman (BIRD BOX) and directed by John Harrison (TALES FROM THE CRYPT).
