First teaser trailer for John Fallon’s The Shelter! (co-financed by JoBlo)

After having 6 of his screenplays turned into feature motion pictures, our very own John Fallon (aka the Arrow!) finally got the opportunity to direct one of his own screenplays into a full-length feature film (his best, in my humble opinion) earlier in the year in Lafayette, Louisiana. The film is a psychological thriller entitled THE SHELTER and it stars one of our favorite character actors, Michael Pare. Besides the writer/director of the film, JoBlo.com has a strong connection to this movie because after we fully financed (and co-produced) our first film production entitled BILLY TRIGGER recently (that film is just finishing up its editing now, and we should see a trailer for it soon as well), we co-financed THE SHELTER as well. We're stoked! The film is prepping to head down to the Cannes Film Festival film market in the coming weeks and we intend to hit the entire film festival circuit after that — our main goal is to get it into Sundance next January! Besides working on the site, John is my best friend so I've read all of his screenplays over the past 18 years and can tell you that this is his most mature, insighftul and f*cked up movie ever (in a good way!). Almost everyone who has read the script "got" something different from it, and as you will see from the teaser trailer below, he's definitely going for that old school 70's psychological vibe – think Kubrick and Lynch hooking up with a dash of ROSEMARY'S BABY. Synopsis: On a star filled night, widower and homeless man Thomas Jacobs (Michael Paré) finds shelter for the night when he falls upon a vast two story house with the lights on and an inviting open front door. He strolls on in thinking he just caught a lucky break and for a while, it would appear as though he did. But soon enough, he realizes that the house won’t let him leave, as its doors are all locked while its windows cannot be opened or broken. Destiny has brought Thomas to this place. What does it want from him? Will he survive the ordeal?
